The Lambda Lambda chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi exclusively handles uniform service for the university’s two athletic bands: the Marching Sycamores and the Basketball Band.

Every fall semester during band camp, brothers of Kappa Kappa Psi measure, fit, and hem every uniform for each member of the Marching Sycamores. This includes distributing shakos, uniform shorts, and water bottles at the beginning of the season and collecting them at the end of the semester. This is a major recurring project for one of the larger bands on our campus by which we directly fulfill our first purpose: “To promote the existence and welfare of the college and university bands and to cultivate at large a wholesome respect for their activities and achievements.”
At the end of the fall semester and into the spring semester, we also handle uniform distribution and collection for the Sycamore Basketball Band. At the end of both seasons, we assist in ensuring that the uniforms for both ensembles are dehemmed, organized, and prepared for professional cleaning.
